For the women in my family, cultivating thoughtful, interesting and beautiful art-filled homes has always been paramount. Throughout my childhood my mother curated beautiful antiques and filled our colorful home with her and my grandfather’s paintings. When I moved into my own apartment, I immediately started to fill the walls with vintage finds and pieces sourced from family, friends, and local artists. It just felt natural.

After years spent pouring over page after page of online search results looking for the next addition to one of my collections, it occurred to me that not everyone had the time, interest, or eye to sift through endless online offerings for interesting, affordable, and original art pieces. I was struck with inspiration and immediately sat down to shop. 

The product of that epiphany, Sister Woman, was founded in 2025, with the goal of making original vintage art available to everyone. From my home in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, I source unique and affordable art from a variety of second hand sellers.
